What type of vehicle will I be in?
- We use passenger vans and luxury SUVs
Why don't you use limousines?
- We are very knowledgeable and laid back people who love wine and want to show you a great experience in wine country
- Having a stretched car doesn't make the wines taste better, but having a guide with you to talk about wine can improve your wine experience forever
- With forward facing seats you can be more comfortable, and with large windows you can view the beautiful scenery
- Limos are tricky to get into and out of and often lack leg room, while our vehicles are comfortable and provide easy access
- Exclusive wineries may forbid limos, and the true "off the beaten path" wineries can be difficult or impossible to get to in a limo
What if we really want a limousine?
- We can arrange one for you at a great rate. We can even come with you and teach you all about wine along the way
Where do we go?
- Sonoma Tours visit many different wineries throughout several Sonoma County regions including Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley, and the Carneros district, although only one on any given trip
- San Francisco Tours are usually to Carneros, a wine region which spans both Napa and Sonoma
How do you select the wineries?
- We are familiar with a good majority of the several hundred wineries in Sonoma and Napa. Based on the day of the week and with every attempt to included preferences of the group, we'll visit wineries with great wines and outstanding hospitality
- Private tours can visit any winery in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Oakland, or San Francisco
- We like to get you that something special and at the same time keep the driving to a minimum
- We use a "spinner" taken from a board game with the names of the wineries taped to it. J/K.
Will the wineries charge me?
- NO, not on our mixed group tours
- MAYBE on a private tour, depending on which wineries we visit
Do you just visit " B-list" wienies?
- Quite the opposite. All the wineries we visit are chosen for the combination of outstanding wines and tremendous hospitality. This combination ensures that you have the perfect day wine tasting!
Can my kid come?
- Sorry, wine tasting is intended for adults and we restrict our tours to adults 21 & over. Kids don't really have much fun at the wineries anyway, and the wineries appreciate a sitter even more than you do!
What about my dog?
- Again we're sorry, but all our vehicles are animal and smoke free
